What is Certified Professional Photographer from PPA?
Certified Professional Photographer is a designation granted by Photographic Certification Commission, the world’s leading certification agency imaging professionals.

Those who have earned the Certified Professional Photographer designation have passed a comprehensive written examination measuring their technical expertise, and have successfully submitted their work to a panel of judges for review and approval.

Professional Photographers Guild of Houston

Founded in 1950, the Professional Photographers Guild of Houston has grown to become one of the largest guilds in the United States. The Houston Chapter of the Professional Photographers of America is one of the most active guilds in the country. With over 220 members its purpose is to create an atmosphere in which professional photographers may associate and learn from one another and stay current with trends in the industry.

The PPGH hosts dozens of local seminars and workshops annually , presented by nationally acclaimed talent. Monthly print competition provides an excellent opportunity to have one's work judged by a panel of master photographers and also to study work of fellow Houston photographers.

Wedding & Portrait Photographers International

WPPI's Annual Convention & Trade Show is the leading source of continuing education for members. The convention features a variety of platform presentations with the world's top wedding, portrait, commercial, lifestyle and fine art photographers.

The Awards of Excellence Print and Album Competitions are also incredible learning opportunities. Judges are internationally recognized photographers, and commment on each and every photograph entered.
