My Approach to The Senior Portrait
I don’t strive to be the best Senior photographer in Houston. In the
world of Senior Photography I strive to be true to my style of
photography. Conforming to industry standards means that our photography will just look like everyone elses. When it comes to senior
photography, I want to find clients that will allow me let my creative juices flow. We'researching for clients that want us to push the envelope with their senior portraits.
I just can't stand it when I see a senior portrait of an individual with a huge fake smile, hugging a tree, in a field with a horse, wearing a cap and gown,
pointing to their fake diploma, sitting on a styrofoam 08’ that’s still
warm from the last senior that was sitting in the same spot only five
minutes earlier.
Don’t get me wrong. There is a place and need for cap and gown
photography. That’s what the contracted photographer for your school will
create for you. (I think my mother has my cap and gown shot.)
What
I’m wanting to create for my clients is different and identifiable. When my clients show their images to their friends, I want it to be
unmistakable where they were created.
Take a
look for yourself.
