Too Soon To Tell.

At my last two shows I ran a very aggressive special if you booked your wedding at the show. New born twins will make you do things like that. However, during last weeks show the special offered was not as aggressive, as we have over 25 weddings on the books already for 07, but our special was very nice none-the-less. While I did not reach my ambitious goal of booking 17 weddings at the show, it is just too soon to tell if my goal will be reached!

A special thanks to the three bookings we received at the show! Valerie L. 3/10/07, Judi T. 11/24/07, and Katy Z 11/10/07!

Today has been a very good day as well. I just got off the phone with Elissa E. (6/2/07) and Carla A. (9/29/07). Both meet with me at the show, and both just booked their dates right over the phone! Thank you both so much for your business!

I want to welcome each of you to my photographic family. We are going to take very good care of each of you!

The Calm Before The Storm

Evidently one of the benefits of investing in a quad booth at The Bridal Extravaganza is the invitation to set up your booth one day before the rest of the vendors. Normally, today I would be rushing to set everything up, but the job is already done! I am so happy about this. Lindsey, my sister who is in from L.A., helped me out yesterday and the booth is already set up! 95% of my work is done.

Parking at The Show This Weekend

Just a heads up for all the people attending the show this weekend. Get there early because you are going to have a hard time finding good parking. The parking lot across the street from the convention center is not available due to construction.

There is parking next door at the Hilton which I have circled in red on the map below. See you at the show!

The Bridal Extravaganza and A Story.

Well, this weekend is one of the craziest weekends of the year for me. The Bridal Extravaganza will be going on this Saturday and Sunday at The George R. Brown Convention Center. It is estimated that 7000 people will attend.

Car Swap.

Well, I am on vacation right now. I like to take the first week of August off, as it seems to be one of the least popular weekends for weddings due to the Houston heat. However, it does seem that I have been doing a good amount of house work during my vacation, as my wife and I are not traveling anywhere this year due to the two new additions to our family. What I did end up doing was selling my VW Bug, one of the newer turbo models, and buying a mini van! Yieks! How did this happen? At any rate, we got a used Honda Odyssey with 30,000 miles on it, so it is fairly new. Once I got over the shock of being a mini van owner, I really started to study the vehicle. You can’t really call it a car. I have to admit, that after going over it, I am realizing how much easier it is going to be getting new born twins in and out of the van, as opposed to fitting them into the baby seats in the back of my bug. It was actually getting pretty funny there for a while. It was due to the success at The Bridal Extravaganza that we were able to make this purchase. I handed my wife the keys this morning, and I am getting her car, which is a Honda CRV. Not a very masculine car, but I guess more so than a VW Bug. A Very Very Successful Show!

I wanted to give a big thanks to the newest members of my photographic family! We had a very successful show with 9 bookings at the show, and two after the show. Thank you one and all.

Thanks to Stacia, Mely, Michelle, Katie, Christina, Crystal, April, Katie, Ali, Leigh Ann, and Courtney! Thank you all again. I am going to do a fabulous job for all of you!
